Septarian Hearts are approx. 4-4.5 in size. Septarian specimens are geodes that are a combination of yellow calcite, brown aragonite, grey limestone and white or clear barite. The word septarian comes from the Latin word "septum," meaning "partition."  Due to the unique nature of natural stones, each piece may vary in actual shape, color and size.
