Chalcedony
Chalcedony has a waxy luster, and may be semitransparent or translucent. It is found in a wide range of colors, but are most commonly white to gray, grayish-blue.
Chalcedony was used as early as the Bronze Age in the Mediterranean region, often used to make wax seal impressions. According to tradition, at least three varieties of chalcedony were used in the Jewish High Priest's Breastplate. The Breastplate supposedly included Jasper, Chrysoprase and Sardonyx.
